📐Understanding Estimation Methods
A Note on Result Anonymity
Beyond selecting how your team estimates (the method), there's also a choice in how the results are displayed once voting concludes. Before starting an estimation session, the owner can set the results mode (detailed here):
Anonymous Results (Default): When results are shown, you'll see the overall vote distribution (e.g., how many people voted '5', how many voted '8') and who participated, but individual votes are not linked back to specific participants.
Non-Anonymous Results: When results are shown, you'll see the overall distribution and the specific vote cast by each participant linked to their name/avatar.
Important: Regardless of this setting, the voting process itself always remains anonymous while it's happening to ensure unbiased input from all participants. This setting only affects the final results display.
