Linear
Estimation Process
When this method is selected, users will vote using the numbers from 1 to 10 as options.
During voting, these numbers will be presented in the voting pad.
The results will show the distribution of votes across these values.
General Purpose
The linear method provides a simple and straightforward way to estimate effort or complexity on a consistent, numerical method. It's often used when tasks are relatively well-understood and the differences in size are perceived as evenly distributed.
Correlation with Story Points
Linear method directly correlates the voted value with story points (e.g., a vote of 5 equals 5 story points).
