The first option is to combine the WIP metric.

This option allows you to choose whether you wish to see:

  • the WIP per single column

The number of work items selected for development is too low, while too many items are in progress.

  • or the combined WIP of the merged columns.

The overall number of tickets in development is 5, an acceptable number between the WIP limits of 3 and 8.

Note that this decision can be made per user independently, since the browser extension can yield different visualizations per device symultaneously.
